Reconstitution Instructions
Sterile Environment
: Clean the top of the vial with an alcohol swab before injecting water.
Slow Dilution
: Aim the water stream at the glass wall of the vial, not directly at the powder, to prevent degradation.
Do Not Shake
: Swirl gently in a slow circular motion. Never shake a peptide vial, as shaking can damage delicate peptide strings.
Storage
: Store reconstituted peptides in the refrigerator (2°C - 8°C). Avoid freezing.
Volume & Unit Reference
U-100 Insulin Syringes
: 1 Unit = 0.01 mL. A full 1.0 mL syringe holds exactly 100 units.
Conversion
: 1 milligram (mg) = 1,000 micrograms (mcg).
Accuracy Rule
: If the target dose is less than 5 units, it is recommended to add more diluent water to the vial to increase drawing precision.
Needle Disposal
: Always dispose of used needles in a dedicated biohazard sharps container.
